April 13, 2004: Solitaire Minerals Corp. (the Company) is pleased to announce that Aggressive Diamond Drilling Ltd. have completed all six holes of the drill program on the Company's Golden Pickle property at Pickle Lake, Ontario. The Golden Pickle Claims consist of 1,960 acres, located between the past-producing Pickle Crow Mine and the Central Patricia Mine. According to figures publishes by the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines the two mines historically produced over 600,000 ounces of gold for the Central Patricia Mine, at an average grade of 0.35 opt, and over 1.4 million ounces of gold produced at the Pickle Crow Mine, at an average grade of 0.475 opt.

The drill cores are being logged, split and sent for assaying under the supervision of Garry Clark, P.Geo, who is the qualified person on this project. Results of these initial drill holes are expected in the coming weeks. On receipt of the assays for this first stage drill program, the Company will evaluate the results in order to adequately plan the next phase of exploration.

Baird Update: The Company is pleased to report that the Gravity Survey conducted by Dr. Allan Spector of Spector and Associates, on the Company's Baird property is now complete and the final report on the program is expected shortly. Initial indications from Dr. Spector indicate several drill targets. Solitaire is currently discussing the next phase of exploration with United Bolero Development Corp, who hold an option to earn up to a 50% interest in the property by meeting the terms of their option agreement, including spending $500,000 in exploration on the property during the three year life of the agreement.
