Solitaire Updates Chikuni River Property Exploration

March 3, 2004: Solitaire Minerals Corp. (the Company) is pleased to announce the receipt of the final report from the recently completed work on the Company's Chikuni River Property, in which it has an agreement to earn a 100% interest. The work entailed Airborne Geophysical work conducted by TERRAQUEST Ltd., under the supervision of Charles Q. Barrie, M.Sc., and a ground based Gravity Survey completed by Dr. Allan Spector Ph.D. Compilation of the data was completed by Roger K. Watson, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., consulting geophysicist to TERRAQUEST.

The Chikuni property is comprised of 3 claims located in two land parcels in the Red Lake district of Ontario Canada. The largest section of the Chikuni claims lies immediately south of and adjoining the Goldcorp Red Lake Mine property.

The recent work defines a wnw-trending gravity anomaly that parallels the regional gravity anomaly that demarks the major deformation/alteration zone hosting the Goldcorp Red Lake Mine and the Placer Dome Campbell Mine. This potential parallel deformation zone is crosscut by northeast trending faults as defined in the recent magnetic survey.

The interpreted deformation zone consists of high-density mafic-intrusives, and mafic volcanics, bounded by granodiorites to the north, and granodiorites and mafic volcanics to the south.

The Company is currently planning the next phase of exploration activity on the property, which will be announced shortly.

In other news, on February 27, 2004, the Company held is Annual General Meeting. All agenda items as outlined in the circular were approved, and all Company directors were re-elected. The Company would also like to extend an invitation to attendees of the 2004 Prospectors, & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference, located at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, Toronto, Ontario from March 7th through 10th, to drop by Solitaire's booth (number 2032) and view the available information on our properties.
